Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF)

The Center for Neurosomatic Studies has signed and returned to the Department of Education the Certification and Agreement and has already distributed no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

All 14 of our students were eligible to receive funds and the school has distributed these funds equally to each of the students.

We have received $10,913 of the projected $21,826 from the fund and 100% of that money has been distributed to the currently enrolled students.

This letter was distributed to each student with their check:

RE: CARES Act: Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund

Dear CNS Student,

The CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund-IHE/Student Aid provides funding to institutions to provide emergency financial aid grants to students whose lives have been disrupted, many of whom are facing financial challenges and struggling to make ends meet. As part of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) we are distributing this check for $779.50 to each student at CNS. These funds are to be used for eligible expenses under a student’s cost of attendance, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child care.

I know this won’t cover all of your expenses but I hope this check will help make this difficult time a little easier.

Looking forward to the rest of our journey together,

Randall Clark
