Tampa Bay Area Massage School

Tampa Bay Area Massage School – Center for Neurosomatic Studies

The Center for Neurosomatic Studies is an advanced massage therapy school in the Tampa Bay Area that combines classroom education with hands-on course work, and offers an in-depth clinical experience. Centrally located just off Ulmerton Road in Clearwater, our students commute from all over Pinellas and Hillsbourough counties, including: St. Petersburg, Seminole, Tarpon Springs, New Port Richey, and the beaches (to name a few). Also, we are just minutes from the bridges to Tampa, and an hour and a half from Orlando. It’s not unheard of for students to commute from Bradenton and Sarasota, in less than an hour’s time.

The Birthplace of Neurosomatic Therapy

The Tampa Bay Area is a special place in the world of manual therapy as it’s the birthplace of both Neuromuscular and Neurosomatic Therapy. Over 30 years ago in St. Petersburg, Paul St. John began his journey researching soft tissue pain and from his research, he developed the St. John Method of Neuromusclar Therapy. Today, Paul St. John is recognized as one of the primary thought leaders for pain management techniques and is leading the charge for the future of manual therapy treatment.

Neurosomatic Therapy is a big part of that future and Paul St. John, Randall Clark and Kevin Wade set out to change the manual therapy world again in the same place it all started with The Center for Neurosomatic Studies.

Living & Working In Central Florida Gulf Coast

Nicknamed the “Sunshine State,” we are known for warm weather and, of course, residents and our students enjoy the laid back lifestyle and easy access to the beach. There are summer thunderstorms to go along with the heat but the winters are typically fairly mild. The pleasant climate year-round makes Central Florida a great place to live and work.

What to Do Next?

The results exceeded my greatest expectation. Since my first visit, I have had no hand or forearm pain and disability. No m ore braces. After the 5th consecutive visit, I have pain free range of motion, both arms and shoulders, full nights of painless, uninterrupted sleep and I’m black to my former level of activity which is strenuous for a 61 year old woman. I spent my entire professional life in the medical field and my husband, who is a surgeon, attended every therapy session, and can’t believe the results. Thank you for the relief and coordination of scheduling so I could accomplish so much in five days.

When I first came here, I was in great pain in my lower and mid back. I was also very inflexible. I am now pain-free and can play sports again. The St. John-Clark Pain Treatment Center is a National Treasure! Thank You!

Nothing helped; the medical doctors put me on medication for migraine headaches, which did not work so put me on stronger medication. The medication just made me sleep all the time. I was unable to work until I received treatment at St. John-Clark Pain Treatment Center. My life has changed significantly. I am able to work full time and I now enjoy life. I would like to thank the entire staff at St. John-Clark Pain Treatment Center.
