About NST

THE SCIENCE

Neurosomatic Therapy (NST) is a holistic, science-based approach to relieving pain and improving movement by addressing the root causes of musculoskeletal dysfunction. Grounded in anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, NST examines how imbalances in one area of the body can affect the whole system. Practitioners use this understanding to assess and correct structural issues at their source.

NST also recognizes the deep connection between mind and body. Emotional and psychological stressors often contribute to physical pain, so therapists are trained to consider both physical and emotional factors in their treatment plans—offering a comprehensive, individualized approach to healing.

HOW NST IS DIFFERENT

Neurosomatic Therapy (NST) is a holistic approach to pain relief and rehabilitation that targets the root causes of dysfunction rather than just treating symptoms. Through detailed assessments of posture, movement, and muscle function, practitioners identify imbalances that contribute to pain.

NST blends manual therapy, corrective exercise, and postural education to create personalized treatment plans. By also addressing emotional and psychological factors, NST offers a comprehensive path to long-term healing and functional recovery.

Pain Relief

If you feel called to help others live without pain, the Clinical Massage & Somatic Therapy program at the Center for Neurosomatic Studies offers a powerful starting point. This full-time, 650-hour program goes far beyond relaxation-based massage training. You’ll learn to evaluate posture, identify muscular imbalances, and apply targeted manual therapy techniques that address the root cause of pain — not just the symptoms. It’s a hands-on education designed to prepare you for licensure and launch a meaningful, in-demand career in therapeutic bodywork.

At CNS, we believe that pain relief isn’t one-size-fits-all — and neither is the path to becoming a successful therapist. That’s why we train students to think critically, assess structurally, and treat with purpose. Whether you’re transitioning careers or stepping into healthcare for the first time, this program is your opportunity to turn compassion into impact, and curiosity into confidence. The first step is recognizing your potential — the next is acting on it.

Invested Mentors

At the Center for Neurosomatic Studies, the Clinical Massage & Somatic Therapy program is more than a path to licensure — it’s an invitation into a deeply supportive learning environment led by invested mentors. Our instructors aren’t just educators; they’re passionate, practicing therapists who bring years of clinical experience into the classroom. They’re committed to your growth, offering individualized guidance, real-world insight, and the kind of mentorship that sparks both skill and confidence.

CNS is proud to foster a community where students feel seen, supported, and challenged to grow. From your first day to your final clinic hour, you’ll be surrounded by people who care about your progress and believe in your potential. It’s not just about learning technique — it’s about being part of something bigger: a vibrant community of professionals dedicated to helping others live pain-free. When you choose CNS, you’re choosing a school that’s fully invested in your success.

Hands-On Experience

At the Center for Neurosomatic Studies, hands-on experience is the cornerstone of our Clinical Massage & Somatic Therapy program. From your very first term, you’ll begin developing practical skills in real-world environments — not just practicing on classmates, but working directly with clients in our supervised student clinic. With a curriculum designed to build both confidence and competence, you’ll complete over 650 hours of training that emphasizes critical thinking, postural assessment, and precise therapeutic application.

What sets CNS apart is how seamlessly we integrate classroom learning with hands-on application. Our students don’t just memorize techniques — they learn how and why those techniques work through continual practice and guided feedback. By the time you graduate, you’ll not only feel comfortable working with the public, you’ll be ready to step into a clinical or private practice setting with clarity, professionalism, and real-world experience already under your belt.

Advanced Curriculum

The Clinical Massage & Somatic Therapy program at the Center for Neurosomatic Studies goes far beyond basic massage techniques. Our advanced curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, structural assessment, and the ability to trace symptoms back to their root causes. Students are trained to become problem-solvers — not just technicians — learning how to analyze posture, evaluate movement, and apply therapeutic strategies that deliver lasting relief. This approach prepares graduates to address complex pain patterns rather than relying on routine methods that may only offer temporary comfort.

What truly sets CNS apart is our commitment to developing thinkers as well as healers. Each course builds on the last, deepening your understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, and neurological relationships within the body. With faculty who mentor and challenge students to go beyond surface-level knowledge, you’ll graduate with the skills and mindset needed to excel in clinical environments and stand out in the field. If you’re serious about making a lasting difference in the lives of your future clients, CNS offers the advanced education that can take you there.
